Security Force Policies
and Procedures
for Tribal Organizations
Policies and procedures serve as guidelines for personnel to follow when performing their duties. It is especially important that a security force has comprehensive and effective policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety of others. During this class, you’ll learn how to perform the complex duties of an unarmed security officer, as we examine the various players involved in the security force and the roles that they play. Harold Rivkin,* our expert instructor, has over 35 years of experience in law enforcement, private security investigations and consulting and retail security. He has been extensively involved in Native American gaming and tribal government affairs, having conducted internal investigations and security and regulatory audits. In this exciting class, Mr. Rivkin will discuss protocols for detainment, arrest, use of force and search and seizure as well as appropriate personal conduct on and off the job. Bring your tribal organization’s security standard operating procedures for an in-class exercise. Make sure that your security force has established the necessary policies and procedures for the benefit of your organization. Register for this class today! *Instructor subject to change.
