Tribes and tribal organizations are awarded millions
of dollars each year for a variety of construction
projects. The regulations that come with those federal
dollars are long and complicated, but
they must be complied with. Regardless
of where the money is coming
from — the Bureau of Indian Affairs,
Indian Health Service, Environmental
Protection Agency or any one of the
dozens of federal agencies that award
grants and contracts — you must fully
understand Office of Management
and Budget (OMB) requirements to avoid disallowed
costs or other sanctions.
This in-depth session will help you keep your federally
funded projects on track. Join Falmouth and examine
the policies and procedures of acquiring construction
services and the steps that must
be taken when contracting for these
services. This session also covers the
general responsibilities of tribal government
representatives in planning
for new construction, repair and improvement
projects. A wide range of
topics will be discussed, from reviewing
plans and specifications to contract
closeout.
