ABOUT THE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

The Tribal Governance Certificate Program demonstrates a commitment to the strength and success of your
community. An effective council or board member is ethical, dedicated and fiscally responsible. You’re required to
know your role, responsibilities and liabilities. You need a working knowledge of parliamentary procedures, a
firm grasp on conflict resolution and the know-how to build and maintain a team that will work toward your
community’s goals.

The core courses of this program will provide participants the confidence and credibility in their workplace. Regardless of your daily roles and responsibilities, these courses will give you the confidence and knowledge to make the right decisions for the members and community you serve.


CERTIFICATE PROCESS

  • Complete the Governance Certificate registration form.
  • Enroll in and attend all five required classes (see bullets below) within 18 months of registering for the certificate program:
  • After completing the course work, you will be required to successfully complete an online assessment to confirm your tribal governance knowledge.
  • The Falmouth Governance Certificate Program can also be delivered as an On-Site Executive Program. By bringing this program directly to your staff, Falmouth can customize the courses to meet your organizational needs for time, place and content.
